Begin by turning on the Fidypay SoundBox. This can be done by pressing and holding the power button located on the side of the device. A light indicator will confirm that the device has been powered on. Wait for a few seconds until the device finishes booting up. The screen will display "Ready to Scan" indicating it's all set to process transactions.
The next step involves scanning the customer's QR code. The customer needs to open their UPI payment app (like Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, etc.) on their smartphone and display the QR code for payment. Point the scanner located on the top of the Fidypay SoundBox towards the customer's QR code and press the scanning button.
Once the scanning is successful, the Fidypay SoundBox will display the transaction amount on its screen. Simultaneously, it emits a sound that signifies the transaction amount has been read and confirmed, providing an audio acknowledgment of the process.
The customer will then be asked to enter their UPI PIN on their smartphone to approve the transaction. This PIN entry is a crucial step as it serves as the customer's digital signature, verifying the transaction
After the customer has successfully entered their UPI PIN and the payment has been processed, the Fidypay SoundBox will confirm the transaction completion with another distinct sound. The screen will also display a confirmation message. Following this, the built-in printer of the Fidypay SoundBox will print out a receipt of the transaction. Hand over this receipt to the customer as proof of payment.
